When the Companion Health Card is used for veterinary care, the transaction can help identify that a new veterinary encounter occurred and initiate an authorized request for updated documents — with the owner’s authorization, and subject to provider participation and applicable requirements. A card transaction never transfers medical records by itself.

As banking and commercial partnerships are finalized, a portion of eligible Companion Health program revenue is intended to support animal-welfare initiatives.

How the program is designed to give back
When the program is live, every allocation will be reported here with its reporting period, the eligible revenue it came from, the amount allocated, the recipient organization, the program category, who was helped, and a methodology note with a public report link. No figures appear on this page until real allocations exist — there are no projections, examples, or placeholders to mistake for results.
Member deposits are not donations and are not reduced to fund these programs. The final funding mechanism depends on completed banking and commercial agreements. No revenue has been collected or distributed yet.
